Dare to wear rose

Discovering the Moulin Jaune is a journey beyond everyday life—an encounter in the heart of nature with both traditional and contemporary art, a place where the public is invited to become both participant and dreamer.

From April to October, once or twice a month, immersive visits invite the public to become participants in their turn—through events with ever-changing themes or poetic wanderings in an enchanted natural setting. Dress according to the theme, bring your own picnic or enjoy our bars, and if you like, bring your games, knitting, accordions… then sit back and enjoy a getaway by the water.

ApriL dares the rose, even in the rain

Over the rainbow
there’s always sunlight above the clouds
And when clouds remain
they’re only there to tint our cheeks with pink

Take on color again, like a cherry tree in bloom
a soft, powdery rose
as delicate as spring’s first kiss
A new youth is waiting

There is a place with no walls
only a few windows that in spring
open wide at the Moulin Jaune
over a green carpet drifting above the Grand Morin
That’s where joy circulates
You only have to follow the thread to reach it—
and perhaps to meet yourself along the way

Nothing is perfect, and still
the spring wind brings just enough
to slip you into pink —
in stitches, in textures, in cultivation, in song
Take long strides
flowers splashing in the puddles

So that April may open the way
onto the road of joy
take a ticket off-script
a dance you’re invited to improvise
