Event Details

Amid the happy madness of the Paris Olympic Games, another extraordinarily eccentric regatta will set sail in Crécy-la-Chapelle, Venice of the Brie region, an easy 1-hour train ride from Paris. On all three Olympic weekends, the quirky kookie whimsical navigators of the Moulin Jaune creative lab and garden, together with the Ilotopie theater company and sailors from faraway lands, will embark on aquatic adventures on the Grand Morin river. Come stroll the banks for the best views, blow in the sails, dip your feet in the waves, swing at our tables.

One – or all three! – of these three Olympic weekends, enjoy an afternoon out in the fresh air with friends, dance with fins or swim the breaststroke lying on a bale of straw. Admire the rays of the summer sun shimmering in the river, bubbling in a glass of apple juice, sparkling in a glass of wine…

Bring your own picnic, clink the plates at our boat bar or simply sing with the birds to cheer on our brave sailors. Convene with your favorite crew, put on your finest sailor stripes, find other creative inspirations here and there, bring a can of sardines in the wicker basket and sail to our joyous port of Moulin Jaune.

Dress code: blue, stripes, boater hats and aquatic outfits

description

The garden will stay open even if it rains. Bring your umbrellas or raincoats and breathe in the post-rain garden aroma. That’s exactly how gardens are enjoyed in Asia!

Children will be responsible for their parents and vice versa. Most of art objects at Moulin Jaune are rather fragile, so even though we encourage you to release your inner child, we also hope that you treat our garden with care and attention.

Dress-code
We always recommend to dress up according to the theme of the event if you really want to creatively plunge into becoming part of the atmosphere.

Filming
We film and photograph all our events, so chances are our cameras might catch you. These images might later be used for promotional materials of any kind or be placed on our website or social media. Should you have any objections against this, please inform us first thing at the entrance.

Dogs can bring their owners, on a leash, only if wearing a theme-inspired accessory. We prefer, however, that dogs who find pleasure in duck-hunting or child-smooching stay home. We also trust that you bring a small waste-bag to clean after your four legged friend.

Seating. There are chairs, benches, straw bales, etc.  for picnics or breaks during the visit.

In case the event gets cancelled due to sanitary, geopolitical or any other unpredictable reasons, you can transfer your ticket to a later event or get a full refund if such transfer is impossible.

You can also offer tickets for any or all of Moulin Jaune escapades as a gift!
